The pictures below have been taken over the last 3 years and you can see once again that nothing much has changed.

Looking at the roofs in Tamworth rd, the house in the 1999 picture has now been patched up but the house beside it is now (february 2003) in a similar condition, By february 2004 this roof has also be patched up but look below at others equally dilapidated examples!

While many houses have had their roofs replaced many are still in a very poor state. The pictures below are typical. Many of the flats had flat roof extensions build in the 1960'2 and 70's which are now in a very poor state, in fact a builder recently said to me that the best thing that could happen to many of the extensions is to have them demolished and the resulting enlarged back yards converted to gardens once again. There are still many properties empty in the area so why not offer grants for this form of conversion?
