Next recitals:

See Menu item Recitals 2018 for the main highlights. Four very different themes make a counterpoint for the season: performances of the harmonium part in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle total five this year in Eton, Oxford, Haslingfield (near Cambridge), Nottingham and London. A long-standing musical partnership with Crispian Steele-Perkins, the world-renowned trumpeter takes us across the country to Framlingham in Suffolk, the Welsh Proms at St David’s Hall in Cardiff, St Augustine’s Penarth and Stogursey in Somerset. Two solo organ recitals abroad, in Maastricht (NL) and Moulins (France) are programmed with the theme of ‘Glances toward England’ showing musical links and friendships between England and the continent. And the Art of Fugue will take on a contrasted aspect when played on the famous 1783 Clicquot organ of Souvigny Priory in France – very different to the Royal Festival Hall. The colours of the pre-revolutionary organ have a brilliance and warmth which fill the building with glowing sound. This recital will be part of the annual festival Journées Musicales d’Automne.
